Our Team
MetaDx Lab was built by people who trained in veterinary pathology and machine learning - not by generalists who pivoted into pet health. That distinction matters when your product has to work in a clinical setting.
CEO & Co-Founder
DVM, PhD in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (UC San Diego, 2017). Spent four years as a clinical pathologist at a regional veterinary referral center before co-founding MetaDx Lab. Led development of the cardiomyopathy and CKD detection modules. Holds two patents in veterinary biomarker panel methods.
CTO & Co-Founder
DVM with a Master's in Biomedical Informatics from UCSD. Built the original multi-biomarker classification model during her graduate research. Responsible for MetaDx Lab's ML pipeline, model validation protocol, and LIMS integration architecture. Previously at Zoetis as a clinical data scientist.
Head of Clinical Partnerships
10 years in veterinary diagnostic sales and clinic operations management. Ran a network of 8 multi-location practices in Southern California before joining MetaDx Lab. Designs the onboarding protocol, trains clinic staff, and manages relationships with the 12 pilot practices in the California network.
MetaDx Lab is a small team with a narrow focus. We do not have generalist engineers building features unrelated to diagnostic accuracy. Every person working here has direct line-of-sight to whether the product catches disease or misses it.
We publish our validation methodology openly. If a model underperforms in a new breed cohort, we write about it - in our blog, not buried in an internal report. Veterinarians deserve to know the boundaries of any tool they rely on.
We respond to every veterinary practice inquiry directly - no sales scripts.
